Meet Our Studio Directors
Executive Director
David Bartow began training in the martial arts in 1979 and has earned master degrees in two styles of taekwondo. He established Karate USA in 1989. Bartow has served as Executive Director on the state board of directors for the Georgia Taekwondo Assocation (USAT), State Chair for the Georgia Games Olympic Festival, Member of the Atlanta Sports Council and founder of the Say Yes To Kids Foundation. During the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta his demonstration team performed at Coca-Cola Olympic City.
Master Bartow manages operations and promotions at Karate USA. All of the instructors at Karate USA have come up through his training. Bartow also oversees Karate USA’s Partners In Education program that supports over 10 local elementary and middle schools with donations and in kind services.

Studio Director
Kevin Geary joined the Karate USA family 15 years ago. He has trained and competed in Taekwondo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Mr. Geary co-owns the Windermere location and leads our instructor training course.
Mr. Geary oversees the Real Karate Kids Project as part of our community outreach program and works on mentoring young people. Mr. Geary coaches our National Competition team which has 6 current National or Junior Olympic champions.

Studio Director
Ryan Lee started martial arts with Karate USA at the age of 8. He has trained and competed in both Taekwondo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Mr. Lee has over a decade of teaching excellence and is dedicated to making his student’s reach their full potential. Mr. Lee is the director of the Johns Creek location and assistant-coach of our National competition team.

Black Belt Staff
Karate USA employs an extensive staff of internationally certified Black Belt instructors that have been brought up through the Karate USA program. They’re energetic, patient, and undergo extensive year-round training.
